The Ambassador of Antigua and Barbuda

His Excellency Dr. Dario Item is the Ambassador of Antigua and Barbuda to the Principality of Monaco since February 28, 2019, when he presented his credentials to HRH Prince Albert II.

Ambassador Dario Item is Head of Mission at the Embassy of Antigua and Barbuda in Madrid and is the country’s permanent representative to the UNWTO. He is also Antigua and Barbuda’s ambassador to the Principality of Liechtenstein.

Ambassador Dario Item has a law degree and a political science degree; he holds the title of Legum Magister (LL.M.) and a doctorate (PhD) in criminal law achieved at the University of Parma. Dr. Dario Item is also a lawyer licensed to practice in Switzerland and Italy and practiced as a notary public until 2015.

He is fluent in Italian, French, German, Spanish and English.
